An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
